“Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words,” - Proverbs 2:16
Wisdom is more than mere knowledge; it is the practice of applying divine truths to everyday life, guiding us away from harmful paths and toward righteousness.
Billy Graham, one of the most influential Christian leaders of the 20th century, embodied this wisdom through unwavering moral integrity. He established ethical guidelines that ensured financial accountability and transparency, safeguarding his ministry from harm. Anchored in Scripture, he relied on God’s Word as the cornerstone of his teachings, often proclaiming “The Bible says" to affirm its authority. His deliberate avoidance of compromising situations - such as refusing to be alone with women other than his wife - demonstrated his discernment and commitment to protecting his reputation and ministry. Despite global acclaim, he remained humble, focused solely on his mission to share the Gospel. His life stands as a beacon of how wisdom, rooted in God’s Word, can transform a life into one of purpose and righteousness.
Proverbs 2:16 reflects a timeless message about the importance of wisdom in maintaining moral integrity and spiritual strength. By embracing wisdom, believers can remain steadfast against the forces of temptation, ensuring their actions align with God’s will. It’s a call to pursue a life grounded in righteousness, one that honors God and leads to lasting peace and joy.
“Temptation is a woman's weapon and man's excuse."
