“You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.”
Psalms 65:11
When we trust in God’s guidance, we step into a life overflowing with purpose and abundance.
Samuel Truett Cathy was was a visionary leader, investor, author, and philanthropist who was the founder of Chick-fil-A, the renowned fast-food chain celebrated for its signature chicken sandwiches and unparalleled hospitality. On February 27, 2024, I had the privilege of attending a private dinner at Ming Palace with second-generation owners John & Trudy Cathy White. That evening, Trudy shared a deeply moving reflection on her father’s legacy - one rooted in generosity, integrity, and an unshakable commitment to serving others. Truett Cathy built Chick-fil-A on Christian principles, believing that business should be a force for good. He championed a workplace culture that prioritised kindness, respect, and the sharing of both resources and time with the community. His leadership ensured that success was not merely measured in profits, but in the lives touched and the values upheld. Today, Chick-fil-A operates over 3,000 restaurants worldwide, primarily in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada - each continuing to reflect Cathy’s mission of excellence and service. Though he was called home on September 8, 2014, at the age of 93, his legacy lives on. His commitment to faith-driven leadership remind us that when we walk in integrity and generosity, the paths we tread will overflow with blessings.
Psalm 65:11 reminds us of God’s unwavering goodness and provision. It encourages trust in His perfect timing, reassuring us that even in uncertain seasons, His blessings abound.
“Those who plant blessings shall also harvest blessings.”
