“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
Psalms 91:1
By nurturing a deep and intimate relationship with God, individuals can walk through life with a profound sense of peace and unwavering assurance.
On the night of January 8, 2010, Pastor Ong Sek Liang was diligently working late in his office at Metro Tabernacle Church, housed in a three-story building in Taman Melawati, Malaysia. Little did he know that divine protection was at work. Feeling unwell from stomach trouble, he decided to head home. Moments later, he received news of a firebomb attack that left the church in ruins and the Christian community shaken. In a remarkable gesture of goodwill, the MCA president generously offered the church the free use of its convention hall for Sunday services, ensuring that worship and fellowship could continue uninterrupted during the transition. The incident captured international attention, prompting swift action from the local government. In a testament to God's provision, authorities expedited the approval process for a new church building and allocated substantial funds for its construction. Through it all, the faith and resilience of Pastor Ong and his congregation shone brightly. Their unwavering trust in God, the unexpected provision of a temporary sanctuary, and the miraculous support for rebuilding became a powerful testimony of hope, restoration, and divine favor amidst adversity. What the enemy meant for harm, God turned into a story of triumph!
Psalms 91:1 calls believers to go beyond seeking God for mere protection. It invites them into a profound, life-changing relationship with Him. When we dwell under the shadow of the Almighty, fear fades, and uncertainty is replaced with unshakable peace.
