“Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.”
Proverbs 13:11

True wealth is built steadily, through hard work, saving, and wise investment decisions.
Anita Roddick, a British businesswoman, human rights activist, and environmental campaigner, is best known for founding The Body Shop. This cosmetics company championed fair trade, recycled packaging, and opposed animal testing. Roddick opened her first shop in 1976, building her business steadily through quality products and ethical practices. The Body Shop eventually expanded to approximately 3,000 outlets in 65 countries. She died of liver cancer in 2007 at age 64, leaving her £51 million fortune to charity. Roddick's legacy is one of ethical business, sustainable growth, and social responsibility, demonstrating that wealth built on integrity endures far longer than that acquired unethically.
Proverbs 13:11 reminds us to pursue wealth wisely, prioritising sustainable practices over short-lived gains that could easily vanish.
“Contentment begins where comparison ends.”
