“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.”

‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭

His unwavering hope for a just South Africa inspired many, as he consistently emphasized the need for understanding and connection among diverse groups. Driven by a profound love for humanity, Desmond Tutu’s life exemplifies how faith and action can create meaningful change, urging us all to pursue justice and compassion in our own communities.

2 Peter 1:5-7 encourages Christians to grow in eight virtues: faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. These virtues not only strengthen personal faith but also foster a vibrant and loving community among believers.
